The tents are very well equipped, plumed toilet, running hot water and spacious...There was a camp fire before evening meal, which was great, they had a BBQ along with various choices for evening meals.

A Warm Welcome Guests Remember
One of the most consistent themes in our recent guest reviews is the welcome guests receive when they arrive at Moyo. After a day of traveling or exploring the Serengeti, guests are greeted by a team that is genuinely happy to see them, often with a traditional welcome song, a refreshing drink and a snack before they settle into camp. Guests often mention how attentive the team is and how quickly they feel comfortable at camp. One couple who stayed with us while experiencing the Great Migration described the welcome as incredibly warm and said the staff were “genuinely kind, caring, and attentive.” What stood out most to them was that they felt like “guests rather than customers.” That is exactly the kind of experience we hope to create.
The Serengeti Comes to Your Tent
One of the wonderful things about staying in a tented camp is that the safari does not necessarily end when you return from your game drive. A recent couple told us how much they loved having a standalone tent with a direct view over the savannah. From their veranda, they could watch wildlife moving through the landscape, and during dinner they even had zebras grazing just outside their tent. Later that night, they heard the unmistakable sound of a wildebeest right next to their tent. Another family saw water buffalo and giraffes strolling near the main tent, while other recent guests have told us about hearing lions, hyenas and hippos during the night. These are the moments that remind us how special it is to stay in the heart of the Serengeti. You are not simply visiting the wildlife during a game drive. You are sleeping, dining and relaxing within the same ecosystem.
Comfortable, But Still Connected to Nature
Guests also regularly comment on the balance between the comforts of Moyo and the feeling of being immersed in the wilderness. One recent guest described the tents as “rustic yet luxurious,” while another mentioned the spacious tent, large comfortable bed and everything they needed for their stay. Several guests have also praised the cleanliness of the tents, the comfortable beds, the hot showers and the food. One couple particularly appreciated having breakfast and lunch prepared for their game drives, which allowed them to spend more time exploring the Serengeti without having to hurry back to camp. We love hearing this because comfort is an important part of the safari experience. After several hours on the road exploring the Serengeti, it is wonderful to return to the luxury of a comfortable tent, take a hot shower, enjoy a good meal and relax while still feeling completely connected to the landscape around you.
The Meals Become Part of the Memories
Food has also made its way into several recent guest stories. Guests have described the meals as delicious and exceptional, but sometimes it is the setting and the people around the table that make dinner particularly memorable. One solo traveler told us that dinner became one of her favorite memories of her entire time in the Serengeti. The evening included singing, dancing and plenty of laughter with the Moyo team, and she described the experience as genuine and unforgettable. For another couple, dinner with their guides while zebras grazed nearby became one of those surreal safari moments that they knew they would remember for years. At Moyo, we believe that meals should be about more than simply providing good food. They are also an opportunity to relax, share stories about the day's adventures and enjoy the company of the people who are experiencing the Serengeti alongside you.

Another thing we love about these recent reviews is how many different types of travelers they represent. One guest traveled solo and told us she could not have felt more welcomed. She appreciated how the team made her feel comfortable and cared for throughout her stay, and she left feeling that she had made friends rather than simply stayed at a camp. Another guest traveled with family and appreciated the attentive service and the team's efforts to make everyone feel welcome. A couple enjoyed their two-night stay and especially appreciated the comfortable tent, excellent food and the sense of safety they felt even with wildlife nearby. And one travel professional who stayed with clients wrote about the special connection that a member of our team developed with one of their clients who had special needs. They remembered not only the beautiful surroundings and wildlife, but the genuine care and warmth that made the experience personal.
