Upon your arrival at either Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, a representative from Moyo Tented Camp will welcome you and assist with check-in for your connecting flight to the Serengeti.
Depending on your reservation, you will fly to either Central or Northern Serengeti, where Moyo Tented Camp is located. On arrival at the designated airstrip, our camp guide and vehicle will be waiting to receive you and transfer you directly to camp, where your safari experience begins.

As a general rule, pack comfortable, lightweight neutral colored clothing that you can layer. The morning will be cooler with the temperature increasing swiftly as the sun rises. Game drives are in the early morning and mid-afternoon so wearing clothes that you can layer is key. Same day laundry service for small loads is available for a nominal fee. Packing light is typically the best advice.
If you are flying between your chosen safari camps and lodges in light aircraft the luggage allowance limits you to a maximum of 15 kg (33 lbs), which includes your carry-on hand luggage.

Yes, wifi is available at all our properties in our common dining/lounging tent. Our connection is adequate for connecting on social media and checking email, however it is generally not suitable for live streaming or heavy usage applications.

The Serengeti is a spectacular year-round safari destination, but the best time really depends on what you want to see and experience.
For the Great Migration and river crossings, visit July–October. For calving season with dramatic predator action, January–March is ideal. April–May and November–December offer lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and excellent photography. -
